The Fortem DroneHunter™ is an unmanned counter-UAS aircraft that uses the TrueView Radar, machine learning algorithms, proprietary guidance systems, and an open command & control system, all built by Fortem. to autonomously fly toward unwanted drones in the sky -- without a human pilot on the ground – and detect, track, classify, monitor via video stream, inspect, and safely capture the intruder drone at a safe distance from the protected area.

Airport Surveillance & Security
Fortem’s TrueView R20 and Fortems SkyDome technology platform will detect careless or criminal drone activity in no-fly zones or restricted airspace. SkyDome is an airspace intrusion detection security as a service (SaaS), providing airports and critical infrastructure, intelligent awareness. Fortem’s SkyDome provides alerting, monitoring, and predictive analytics for real-time decisions.
SkyDome uses TrueView’s AI-enabled detection and classification solution to provide a complete view of local airspace. When an airspace intruder is detected, SkyDome’s Command Center can provision appropriate response options depending on threat level.
FORTEM - TRUEVIEW RADAR
The Fortem TrueView Radar model DAA-R20 is the next generation of its proven, safe, complete and small SWaP-C radar solutions designed for high volume, high reliability, and mission-critical detect and avoid operations. The Fortem TrueView Radar is derived from a hardened radar technology used in the US Department of Defence drone program the last 6 years and adapted for safe commercial drone applications. The Fortem TrueView Radar provides the aircraft integrator the capability to quickly and easily detect objects from the air at long range to avoid manned aircraft or other non-cooperative objects such as birds, wires or other drones. Optional modules allow for complete end-to-end integration for tracking, classification, command and control and pre-integrated autopilots.
The Fortem TrueView Radar model DAA-R20 enables companies to use drones to provide safe and cost-effective package delivery services, large infrastructure inspections, border patrols, etc. Also human pilots of general aviation aircraft and helicopters can fly safely in a more crowded airspace with TrueView Radar.
Dozens of software-defined parameters are available through an easy-to-use GUI to optimise the unit for your application. The design conforms to FCC, FAA and industry design and safety standards while including tracking, classification, and command and control integrations with leading autopilots.
Simplicity of integration is a serial connection with 18-36V input voltage, Gigabit Ethernet, and a simple API for easy integration by Fortem or the aircraft manufacturer. Mounting points allow flexibility to meet the needs of specific aircraft integrations. The DAA-R20 consists of a fully functional, bits-in and bits-out radar unit, Quick Start Guide, and Interface Control Document (ICD).
The Fortem TrueView Radar is the ideal solution to the ‘see and avoid’ problem. It can detect obstacles in the air with sufficient time to determine the potential for a collision or near miss, and stay well clear of the potential collision by manoeuvring to a safe place.

FORTEM - DRONEHUNTER
The Fortem DroneHunter™ is an unmanned counter-UAS aircraft that uses the Fortem TrueView Radar, machine learning, specialised guidance systems, and an open command & control system, all built by Fortem, to autonomously fly toward unwanted drones in the sky, without a human pilot on the ground – and detect, track, classify, monitor via video stream, inspect, and safely capture the intruder drone at a safe distance from the protected area. Fortem’s DroneHunter™ is the world’s first counter-drone system that operates beyond line of sight (BLOS) using radar to protect a perimeter day and night from unwanted air threats.
Some of the technology was developed and hardened over several years on US Department of Defence applications and is now available for commercial use. Core technologies include machine learning, secure data collection and services, aerospace design, radar guidance and advanced algorithms, and open command and control platforms for customers to detect, track, classify and mitigate unwanted drones. The open, secure ground station offers operational flexibility of multiple DroneHunters™.
